I woke up the morning of January 1, 2015, after having just started a journey of self-discovery, and said to myself, “What can I do differently this year that will change my life?” It hit me like a ton of bricks. “You are going to confront one fear every day this year.” Yep, that’s exactly how it happened.
I had no idea what was in store, but I knew I needed to change my life in a big way. The majority of my life I had been protected, which caused me to have a lot of fears. Finding 365 fears wasn’t going to be a challenge at all because I was pretty sure I had more than that.
The 7 biggest things I learned through the journey are listed in my book, The Year of Fears. The best thing that came out of me facing my fears head on for one full year is that I became numb to fear. I have discovered the secret to confronting fears painlessly and with ease. My life has definitely changed since that January morning in 2015 and I’m so glad I decided to do it AND actually went through with it.
